Tabernacle Student Ministry
Our Vision statement here at Tabernacle is “We exist to experience the presence of God by cultivating a culture of families who invest in each other.” As a student ministry, we want to partner with the home. We strongly believe that the home should be the primary context for disciple-making, and that our major job is to come alongside of you and equip and encourage you in the disciple-making process.
We gather at 9:15 am for a time of big-group teaching by our Student Pastor, Kody Alvarez, followed by small group discussion. We call this “Table Talk.”
Wednesday Nights, we gather for a time of worship and a message. Join us in the Shop on Wednesdays at 6:30 pm.
Sunday nights, Multiply groups meet around the community. These are for students who are interested in digging deeper into their faith.
We also have a cafe that students can visit to get coffee and or breakfast. Students work this cafe every Sunday morning as a way to help pay for TSM events. Our students also help Tabernacle’s “First Impressions” team by serving as greeters.
Student PastorKody Alvarez has been our Student Pastor since 2015. Kody has a bachelor’s degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and is working on his Masters of Divinity. He has served as a youth pastor, church planter, and has preached several revivals in and out of the country. He has served in many other areas that involve evangelizing, coordinating camps, and student ministry leadership. He has served in ministry for over 10 years
