Although talking about money is never exciting…
we truly believe that we have set up our giving strategy to be the best stewards of what God has given us without constantly stressing about it.
We want you to get involved in what God is doing in and through Tabernacle. A major way to get involved is through our obedience to God in our finances. We strive to be as transparent as possible with all things, money included. Our goal is to simplify giving so that it is easier to be committed to faithful giving without feeling bogged down.
3 WAYS YOU CAN GIVE

At Tabernacle, we are making an effort to simplify giving in order to honor God and to help you in obedience to Him with your finances. We receive your tithe (10%) for the support of the daily needs of the church. This includes things like ministry budgets, events, utilities, building maintainence, and staff salaries.
In an effort to minimize the need to regularly ask our church for special offerings, we have programmed a percentage of our overall church budget to support the cooperative program as well as the mission offerings that most Southern Baptist participate in (including Lottie Moon Christmas Offering, Annie Armstrong Easter Offering, and more).
We made this change to our giving strategy in 2015, and the immediate result is that we have given more money to missions than ever before!
By faithful and regular giving, you are supporting missions around the globe.

The mission team and church staff will evaluate all mission opportunities that become available and prioritize them. Then recommendations will be brought to the stewardship team to expend funds.

Project 1:38 is Tabernacle’s way to fund the River People Ministry. In Mark 1:38, Jesus said, “Let us go somewhere else to the towns nearby, so that I may preach there also; for that is what I came for.” Jesus was telling his disciples that preaching and reaching the lost was what He came for.
We have identified an unreached people group we call the “River People.” Every year, we send 3 to 4 teams to Sumatra to share the gospel and find nationals to work among the River People. Many teams have gone over the past 3 years and we now have one national partner, Danni, who works among the River People. We are also speaking with another man who might be our second national partner on the field. What a blessing!
100 people giving $38/month
The only way for us to keep this ministry consistent and fruitful is to make sure the funding is there to send our own people and support the national workers. That cost is around $45,600 a year. Each year we seek 100 people who are willing to give $38 a month to support this ministry. We have almost reached that goal yearly since we started Project 1:38. Because many have given, at least 9 new believers are being discipled by our national worker. Won’t you consider being one of our Project 138 partners and sign up to give $38 per month for a year. Sign up cards are located at the welcome desk in Welcome Hallway. One time gifts of $456 are appreciated as well.
