Church Vision Statement

We are a biblically rooted church that wants to help you overcome life’s emptiness through a deeper relationship with Christ and a connection to a family who cares.

  • What is a your best scar story?

Read: Ephesians 4:7-16

7 But grace was given to each one of us according to the measure of Christ’s gift. 8 Therefore it says,

“When he ascended on high he led a host of captives,

and he gave gifts to men.”

9 (In saying, “He ascended,” what does it mean but that he had also descended into the lower regions, the earth? 10 He who descended is the one who also ascended far above all the heavens, that he might fill all things.) 11 And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, 12 to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, 13 until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, 14 so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes. 15 Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, 16 from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.

  • Prayer Meeting Tuesday Night at 6.
  • This year we are changing our strategy for reaching the community for Halloween. The strategy is to connect on a personal level with your friends and neighbors to invite them to your group or to the church. Halloween falls on the last Sunday of the month and we would like on your hangout night to volunteer to open your yards to trick-or-treaters. We will provide you with a yard sign that lets the community know that you are with Tabernacle. Your group can have as many homes as you would like. If you are interested please fill out this form

Transformation Questions:

  • Why did Christ give each one of us gifts?
  • Go around the room: What are three areas that you think that you have been gifted with to build the kingdom of God?
  • Why did God give the church the apostle, prophet, evangelist, and pastor?
  • In the church whose job is it to do the work of the ministry?
  • What do you think the outcome will be if we just leave ministry up to the hired staff? Have you ever been a part of a church like this, what negative things did you see?
  • Do you think biblical maturity is connected to theological belief?
  • Do you think immaturity is connected to bad theology?
  • What do you think about someone who knows good theology and you look at their life and they live in a very immature way?
