1 Corinthians 11:2-16

What Does Hair Got to Do With It?

Discussion Questions:

Read 1 Corinthians 11:2-16

  • This passage at face value is very odd. Why was Paul so concerned about the hair of these Christian women in church?
  • For us as modern believers, what things do we connect ourselves to that would make us look like we are not designated to solely bring glory to God? As Christ followers, what things are within our liberties but we may have to remove to show that the world does not own us?
  • Some would look here and say that Paul is being oppressive to women. How do you feel about that?
  • Do Christians believe that women are somehow less equal than men? Is that what the tone of this passage feels like?
