The King Has Come

Church Vision Statement

We are a biblically rooted church that wants to help you overcome life’s emptiness through a deeper relationship with Christ and a connection to a family who cares.

Ice-Breaker:

  • Rank ‘em: What are your top three Christmas movies?

Read: Isaiah 9:6-7

For to us a child is born, to us, a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. 7 Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end, on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from this time forth and forevermore. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will do this.

Week Review:

  • Have you prayed for your person that you want to follow Christ every day this week? How well do you you pray for other’s salvation?

Transformation Questions:

  • When you hear the phrase: “building the kingdom of God,” what comes to mind? How have you contributed to building the kingdom of God on earth with your life?
  • Why do you believe people are satisfied not stepping into the better life that God has to offer them?
  • Do you believe you can contribute to building the kingdom of God where you are right now? Who is qualified to do the work of building the kingdom?
    • If you are a believer, you are qualified to do the work because you have God dwelling in you preparing you for the work of the ministry.
    • We want to move the mindset of people thinking it is the pastor and staff who do the building the kingdom. The role of the pastor is to equip you for the work of the ministry.
  • What do you think is keeping you from stepping into the life that God has for you?
  • What is one thing you fear God will call you to give up in order to step into the better life God has planned?
  • What is the biggest thing you feel like God could do through you in your lifetime to build His kingdom?
  • What is something that feels too big to ask God in prayer?
    • What is your biggest “ask” that you have ever asked God for in ministry?
    • Have you ever considered your prayer life ambitious in seeking God’s glory and kingdom?
      • We want to move our prayer and thought life to ambitious asking, not just business as usual. We want people to start thinking about how they can participate in God using them for kingdom building.
  • The holidays are coming. Let’s think about how we can leverage the season to identify, invite, invest, and pray for people. [Dont skip this ONE 🙂 ]
    • Go around the room: Who are some people you can identify in your life right now that do not know Jesus?
    • Pray for the names.
    • Go around the room: What is one thing that you will do this week to invest in that relationship, or what is one thing you can do to get them closer to Jesus; perhaps inviting them to Church, sharing a sermon, or inviting them personally to know Christ.
