Church Vision Statement

We are a biblically rooted church that wants to help you overcome life’s emptiness through a deeper relationship with Christ and a connection to a family who cares.

Ice-Breaker:

  • What is the most frustrated you have ever been working with customer service?

Read: Ephesians 1:15-23

Eph. 1:15 For this reason I too, having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which exists among you and your love for all the saints,

Eph. 1:16 do not cease giving thanks for you while making mention of you in my prayers;

Eph. 1:17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him.

Eph. 1:18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,

Eph. 1:19 and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of the strength of His might

Eph. 1:20 which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places,

Eph. 1:21 far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come.

Eph. 1:22 And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as head over all things to the church,

Eph. 1:23 which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.

  • Prayer Meeting Tuesday Night at 6.
  • This year we are changing our strategy for reaching the community for Halloween. The strategy is to connect on a personal level with your friends and neighbors to invite them to your group or to the church. Halloween falls on the last Sunday of the month and we would like on your hangout night to volunteer to open your yards to trick-or-treaters. We will provide you with a yard sign that lets the community know that you are with Tabernacle. Your group can have as many homes as you would like. If you are willing or have multiple people who are willing to use your home please contact Kody at [email protected] so he can get a preliminary headcount.

Transformation Questions:

  • What does it mean to give thanks without ceasing? Does Paul mean we should pray every moment? How do you practice prayerfulness like this?
  • What is the most noticeable change in your life when you are consistent in your prayer life?
  • What are some practical things you do to keep your prayer life consistent?
    • For some of us being consistent, we may have a certain time of day, place, or require some sort of accountability.
  • When something is on your heart and you want to ask God for it, are you a person who continues to go to Him or do you pray, forget about it, and move on?
  • Do you feel like God has ever enlightened your eyes to clearly show what He wanted you to do in a situation in prayer? What was that like? How did you know it was God or if it was just you?
    • There may not be answers to the last two questions but it is something everyone wrestles with when they believe God is leading them to do something. I heard one preacher say if he feels like it is 50% God He is will do whatever it is.
  • Everyone is called to ministry. Do you struggle to see your occupation as your ministry?
  • What is one thing that you can practically do this week to leverage what you do (at work) for God’s glory?
  • How is it going with your One? Have you talked to them yet and how have you invested in their life?
