At Tabernacle, we want to provide you with every opportunity to take the next step in your walk with Christ and to help you become better connected to our family here at Tabernacle. We have four primary “Next Steps.”
ALL-IN CLASS
New to Tabernacle? Visiting, but want to know more? Our 4-week “All In!” Class is just for you!
This class is designed for guests and those interested in becoming members. Come check it out!
Feel free to just show up, or email [email protected] with any questions. This class will meet in Moody Hall room 207 on Sundays at 9:15am. You can drop off your kids at Kidstown as early as 9:05am.
Some of the questions from All In
- What’s Tabernacle all about?
- What, exactly, saves us?
- What’s God’s ultimate goal?
- What does it mean to be a disciple?
- Why should we believe the Bible?
- Do denominations matter?
- Does church membership matter?
- What does it mean to be “All In!”?
Each week, we cover two of our 8 Core Values.
BAPTISM
Baptism is an outward symbol that a person has entered into a relationship with Jesus Christ. It symbolizes what has taken place inwardly at the time of our salvation: our acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
It can also be described as:
- Our sharing in His death and resurrection illustrated by going under the water, dead to our old life, then rising again in new life.
- Our being symbolically washed clean, our sins being forgiven by His death on the cross.
When we are baptized, we aren’t only following Jesus example, but we are obediently following one of his commands. For us, it is the opportunity to share with the world that we know follow Christ. Baptism is the first and crucial step of obedience in a new and growing relationship with God.
SMALL GROUPS
You don’t have to be a member of the church to join one of Tabernacle’s small groups…it’s “the church within the church”.
Small Groups are made up of people with similar ages or family structures meeting together for:
- Living For Others | Mission/Ministry
- Interactive Bible Study
- Fellowship
- Encouragement
This is where real, life-enriching relationships can form and develop. You are not assigned to a group, but are free to visit as many groups as you like to find a good fit. New groups form regularly and are offered to meet the needs of anyone seeking to deepen their spiritual roots.
We currently have many Bible Studies that meet every Sunday morning at 9:15 or 10:45. To join a Bible Study, simply visit one! Click HERE for a list of our Bible Studies.
We also have Lifegroups that meet throughout the week during the school year. For more information about LifeGroups, click HERE.
SERVICE
One of the most important steps in the maturity of your relationship with Christ is finding the place where God wants you to serve. There are many areas where you can serve at Tabernacle and we want to do all that we can to find the right fit for you.
Find out where your best fit for serving is by taking a free online Spiritual Gifts Assessment and then see what opportunities we have for you at Tabernacle.
TAKE THE SPIRITUAL GIFTS ASSESSMENT
After you’ve taken the survey, print or save these results and email our Executive Pastor, Mike Sellers, for more information.
