Brandon has been the Worship Pastor at Tabernacle since January 2013. He married Karen Thompson, an MK from Ecuador, on August 5, 2000. The Hixsons have two beautiful children, Caleb and Caylin. His passion is to cultivate relationships with people by connecting with them through music and worship. Brandon loves leading worship, writing and arrangement music, playing the saxophone, recording and engineering music for his Contemporary Rock band “Racing Gravity,” and hanging out with his family. Brandon also loves cheesy 80′s music, jumping on the trampoline with Caleb and eating pizza! Student Pastor / Groups Pastor
Kody Alvarez has been our Student Pastor since 2015. Kody has a bachelor’s degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and is working on his Masters of Divinity. He has served as a youth pastor, church planter, and has preached several revivals in and out of the country. He has served in many other areas that involve evangelizing, coordinating camps, and student ministry leadership. He has served in ministry for over 10 years.
Matheus T. Oliveira has been our Student Minister since 2018. Matheus was raised in Brazil and has a bachelor’s degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and is working on his Adv. Masters on Christian Education Focused on Family. He has served churches in Brazil, U.S. and Canada of which he carried out duties such as media director, church planter, and worship leader. He has served in many other areas that involve evangelizing, coordinating camps, and student ministry leadership.
Lisa has been on staff at Tabernacle since 2005. She is the Children’s Minister at Tabernacle. She is married to Nathan Vyers. Lisa has the privilege to be step mom to Kyle and Kristen and mom to Olivia. She is very excited about what God is doing in the lives of our children here at Tabernacle. It is so amazing to partner with parents and watch their children take their next step toward Christ, grow deeper in the Word, and worship the Lord through music and service.
Alicia and her family have been members at Tabernacle for 13 years. She and Shawn have been married for 21 years and blessed with four children: Austin, Ashley, Colby and Erin. Currently, they serve in the Youth Ministry and host the 7th & 8th graders small group in their home on Sunday nights.
Over the past 13 years Alicia has been able to serve at TAB in many ways, and in 2016 became our Preschool Minister.
Administrative Assistant to the Pastor
Jill has worked at Tabernacle since 1992. She is married to Joe and they have two daughters. Jill works in the pastor’s office as his administrative assistant, where she is a vital part of media, visioning and pastoral care. If you need to contact Pastor Todd, call Jill and she’ll get you connected. Jill enjoys movies, concerts, reading and spending time with her granddaughters.
Tammy has been a part of Tabernacle since her husband, Todd, was called as pastor. Along with heading up the financial office, she fills many extra administrative roles at Tabernacle.
Tayler has served as our church receptionist since 2012. She is married to Luke , and they have three children! Drop by the church office and meet Tayler. Her friendly personality and helpful attitude will be a blessing to you. Tayler loves camping, reading, playing with her kids, and solving our office problems.
Senior Adult Minister
Bob served as a Hospice pastor for 10 years where he developed a love for senior adults. He was able to create and conduct regular Bible studies in the nursing homes he ministered to. Bob also served as a pastor for 8 years where he honed his preaching, pastoral counseling, grief counseling and visitation skills. While serving as a funeral director for 9 years, Bob used his pastoral skills in helping support families during great times of loss and heartache. He has also been involved in church planting, all areas of ministry and has performed many weddings.
